Ready to GIG’EM All right here in our Safari Zone? We will have a map to take you on the best path around TAMUG to catch as many as you can. We will have lures set up across campus during the event. To Sign-Up for the 5K please go to We will have a limited selection of shirt packets for sale on the day of the event. Anyone who purchases a shirt will be entered to win a pair of Texas Renaissance Festival Tickets. All proceeds go to the Staff Emergency Fund that provides limited financial assistance to staff experiencing a temporary hardship due to a significant life event. Funds in the past year have helped flooding victims in our TAMU/G Community.

Got Your 6 in Texas: Military Friendly Starts Here

In the military, “Got your 6” means “Got your back.” The national Got Your 6 campaign ( was launched in 2012 by a coalition of nonprofit service groups and an array of Hollywood celebrities and industry leaders. The goal is to “bridge the civilian-military divide” and to enhance support for our military and veterans and their families, through six “Pillars” ranging from health to education.

The Texas A&M University System and its eleven universities were among the first 50 institutions of higher education to sign the Got Your 6 Education Pillar pledge of support for veterans.
