Commencement Ceremony Weather Advisory

Texas A&M University at Galveston officials continue to closely monitor weather conditions for the 2019 Commencement Ceremony, scheduled for 9:00am, Saturday, May 11 (with arrivals beginning at 8:00am), at the Galveston Island Convention Center on Seawall Blvd.

Commencement will take place rain or shine as scheduled.

Please be advised that rain is forecasted for the Houston Metropolitan Region overnight on Friday and into Saturday. We ask that guests dress and plan their travel accordingly to ensure that their experience is as memorable and comfortable as possible.

Road conditions are available at drivetexas.org or Houston TranStar.

For those who cannot join us, Saturday’s commencement will be livestreamed at https://ttvn.tamus.edu/live/single-event/263156/.

Friday’s, May 10, Navy Commissioning Ceremony, scheduled from noon to 2:00pm in the Aggie Special Events Center, will continue as planned.
