Why did you become an academic advisor?
I became an Academic Advisor to assist students as they develop across the span of their academic career. I have found the years spent in a university setting can help to shape lifelong practices and habits.

What is your favorite thing about the TAMUG experience?
I have been impressed with the incredible strength of the academics partnering with a campus setting that nurtures individual growth and development.

What is your best advice for incoming students?
Take the blinders off. Your time in university will speed along and not stop. So, take time to learn from those around you so that you can see the expansiveness of our world.

What do you do when you are not advising/coaching/working?
I spend the majority of my time when I am not advising, with my family. Dreaming of Disney Parks vacations, lounging on the beach, walking through forests and mountains, and driving with the windows down.

What else should students know about you?
I have been working in higher education for 13 years. I have spent many summers in East Africa with university students developing leadership and communication skills.
