Why did you become an academic advisor/academic coach/educational administrator?
I think Rachel Sellers said it best- to give back to the campus that gave me so much.
What is your favorite thing about the TAMUG experience?
The love, care, support, and overall culture from TAMUG students, staff, and faculty is so exquisite. My favorite thing is watching students make their dreams a reality and being a part of their journey to success.
What is your best advice for incoming students?
Know that you are never alone! This campus is not just a school, but also a family. Get involved in organizations, join in on the traditions, and always know that you have a community of aggies that love and support you every step of the way. Things are not always going to go your way and you may find yourself in some uncomfortable situations, but you are never alone! Never be afraid or ashamed to ask for help.
What do you do when you are not advising/coaching/working?
Crafting on my Cricut, sleeping, or playing with my bunnies Sunny (Blanc de Hotot) and Midnight (mixed breed).
What else should students know about you?
My door is always open. Whether you need advising, a space to debrief, or if you are coming by to tell Rachel Sellers and I your ghost stories or pet photos—you are always welcome to my office. I also enjoy a wide range of music genres so share your favorite songs and playlists with me!
