The Department of Marine Engineering Technology has the right faculty with a wealth of industry experience to give students the proper knowledge and skills that they will need in order to be successful. Due to the industry’s perpetual evolution, skills and the knowledge of how to learn are heavily emphasized. Because of the proximity of the campus to the Gulf of Mexico, this approach is coupled with hands-on experiences in simulators, labs, and on board ships that are heavily utilized to teach students in unforgettable ways.
