External Fundraising Award    

Active citizenship is a keystone of democracy. A student exhibiting active citizenship leads others to  participate in opportunities for engagement in communities and acts of selfless service. Through active  and ongoing mentoring relationships the student encourages others to engage in community. 

1. Identify opportunities for engagement in communities. 
2. Practice selfless service. 
3. Mentor others. 
4. Engage in local, national, and international communities.

The External Fundraiser Award celebrates the student organization that demonstrates outstanding initiative in identifying fundraising opportunities in communities, both locally and globally. By actively engaging with (external) communities and addressing their needs, this student organization makes a meaningful impact and inspires others to join in their mission of positive change through Active Citizenship.

Consider the following as your complete your application:

• Include organization resume.
• How did you decide this external charity would be the focus for your group?
• What steps did you take as an organization to learn about their impact on the community?
• How does their mission align with your organization’s mission?
• How did your student organization's fundraiser promote participation in new learning opportunities about the community among its members?
• How much money did you raise and how did you do it?
