The Studio

The Studio encourages exploration and practice of video and presentation skills with student-led support engaging with our faculty’s visual and oral communication efforts. It offers an exploratory space for visual and oral communication both in-person and virtually, and provides peer support for making videos, learning graphic software, recording audio, practicing presentations and more. The Studio space has equipment checkout, dedicated audio room, individual and group editing stations, a green screen, interview station, presentation station, audio mixing boards, and microphones for Aggies to use. We host the full Adobe Creative Suite software along with additional audio, video, graphic, and story boarding software.
What We Can Help With
What We Can Help With

The Hypermedia Lab offers complimentary, peer-to-peer media and presentation counseling for all TAMUG students. Our counselors are fellow students who contribute specialized knowledge from diverse majors and who have exceptional experience with media technology and presentation skills. We offer 30-minute sessions, that can be used for a multitude of needs for each student and can accommodate group projects. Our expertise encompasses the creation and presentation of multimedia projects, which includes storyboarding, filming, presentation coaching, video/audio editing, software/hardware tutorials, and script writing. We strive to give as much assistance as we can for any media project that a student may need. We have equipment and software that students may use to create their projects. The Hypermedia Lab hopes to enhance and encourage the usage of media in the classroom and in everyday life. For an appointment, please sign up for a time on TutorTrac.

The Studio can provide support across the full scope of a visual, oral, and/or multimedia project. This includes:

  • Planning: Storyboarding, Script Writing
  • Audio: Recording, Editing
  • Speech: Presentation Practice, Presentation Editing
  • Video: Editing, Recording
  • Professionalism: Headshots, Graphic Design

Resources available to assist with these projects include:

One Button Studio
The innovative 'One Button Studio' setup allows students with no technical or multimedia experience to quickly and easily create video content! Click here for instructions on using the One Button Studio.

Lightboard
The Hypermedia lab has created their very own lightboard. A lightboard is a very useful presentation tool that allows video presenters to write on the board and still be seen through it. This is great for anyone who wants to have a personal connection with an audience while still being able to actively communicate information in a visual manner.

Audio Room
The Hypermedia lab, in collaboration with Rudder Radio, have put together a great space for recording. The audio room is sound proofed and is treated for acoustics to help produce clean, professional audio tracks. There are 2 audio editing stations with additional access to microphones and required software.
