Organizational Review: Task Force Membership and Information
June 2, 2023Congratulations on the successful completion of the spring semester! I applaud you for successfully navigating the challenges, and I hope you have celebrated your wins.
Last week we announced an exciting opportunity to transform our campus and clarify our value in delivering academic programs, research and activities that support the blue economy.
To guide us in achieving that vision, I established two groups: the Academic Programs Task Force, led by Dr. Deborah Thomas, and Marketing & Communications Task Force, led by Rebecca Watts, to develop recommendations based on President Banks’ response. Their first task was to form membership and an engagement framework to ensure broad campus participation. Those details are now available.

Draft recommendations are due to me by July 25, 2023, for review and will be provided to President Banks on Aug. 1, 2023.
I ask that you provide meaningful and transparent feedback as they work with you to develop recommendations to achieve President Banks’ vision.
