Howdy New Aggie!    

New Student Conferences are held for newly admitted freshmen and transfer students. You will register for your first classes, tour the campus, meet TAMUG faculty and staff, learn about financial aid and scholarships, and much more.

Students attending the New Student Conference on January 11th should plan to arrive to campus to check in to the conference at 8:00am. Emails regarding more specific information about the conference will be sent three weeks prior to the conference.

New Student Conferences held in June of 2024 will be held in our Aggie Special Events Center (Building 3035) with check in beginning at 3pm on day 1 of the conference. Specific information regarding all of our New Student Conferences will be sent directly to students via their TAMU email.

All new TAMUG students should plan to attend a New Student Conference before their first semester.

June 24-25 Galveston Majors
June 27-28 College of Engineering (Not Marine Engineering Technology)
August 1-2 Galveston Majors
August 6 Transfer Students
August 14 Last Chance New Student Conference (All Majors)

Check in for our June New Student Conferences will be from 3-5pm on Day 1 of NSC with each June conference concluding around 3pm on Day 2. Students attending NSC on August 6 and August 14 will receive a unique schedule via their TAMU email.

Which conference should you attend?

Students admitted as a Transfer student to Texas A&M University at Galveston have the option of attending a one-day Transfer NSC or the two-day Freshman NSC. If you are a traditional college student who has never attended a university, you may wish to choose the more in-depth Freshman NSC.  In order to register for the freshman conference, as a Transfer admit, you will need to contact the Enrollment Services office.
