Meet with an Academic Advisor PRIOR to you NSC!
The Center for Academic Learning Support (CALS) is the hub of academic advising for all incoming and first year undergraduate students. Our advisors in CALS are here to help each student in beginning on the path toward their academic goals! Advisors know that transitioning into this new stage of life can be difficult and want to make your transition to Texas A&M University at Galveston as smooth as possible! One of the most stressful aspects of starting college can be selecting courses for the first time, we hope to alleviate some of your stress by offering an opportunity for you to meet with an advisor and receive priority registration PRIOR to your New Student Conference date.
Small group advising appointments will be available via Zoom throughout the month of May. In these sessions, advisors will go over some important information for the group, and students will then have the opportunity to break out one-on-one with an advisor if they have specific questions or concerns. Please note that you will also meet with your advisor for a longer session during your New Student Conference, so don't worry if you think of additional questions after this time!
This opportunity is not available for students who are participating in the College of Engineering.
