AGGIE SPECIAL EVENTS CENTER    

The Aggie Special Events Center (ASEC) is the newest and most modern facility at the Texas A&M University at Galveston Campus. It features state-of-the-art technology and magnificent meeting and event spaces. The ASEC opened its doors in the Fall of 2018 with 38,000 square feet boasting a grand ballroom and more ideal spaces for use as classrooms, seminars, and meeting rooms. The ballroom is perfect for graduations, competitive events, workshops, conferences, and other special events.

Calling the new facility, a “game-changer,” Texas A&M University officials dedicated the Galveston campus’ new Aggie Special Events Center on October 19, 2018, and declared it as a landmark event for the school. The ASEC has brought a new spirit and atmosphere to the Galveston campus, and fulfills a long-needed purpose – a state-of-the-art space for large assemblies both for academic programs as well as events that involve the community.


1st Floor Business Center Meeting Rooms

The ASEC Business Center, on the first floor, has four meeting rooms that can be arranged in a training, conference, assembly, and board meeting layout with a full capacity of 48 seats per meeting room (assembly layout). Each meeting room is equipped with a projection screen. Use of the 1st floor lobby is also permitted for those events utilizing a welcome table and/or for vendor setup.

2nd Floor Ballroom

The Aggie Special Events Center, on the 2nd floor, has a full ballroom guest capacity of 74 banquet tables with 592 seats. The full ballroom has an array of capacities, layout, and stage options at 11,273 square feet. The ballroom also has the ability to break into five sections creating unique spaces. Each section is also equipped with its own projection screen and speaker panel walls giving each section its own individuality. The 2nd floor also boasts a pre-function space at the top of the stairs. This additional space (2636 square feet) is great to utilize for catering, mixers, vendors, welcome openings, and more!

Waterfront Pavilion & AMPHITHEATER

Our impressive Waterfront Pavilion is located on Galveston Bay. Built in 2017, this multipurpose event space accommodates 150 people in banquet seating and 250 in theater-style seating (2340 square feet). Unique to this facility is the indoor/outdoor capability. Much of the glass exterior windows have been designed to fold which will extend the indoor space outdoors to an open-air deck that will accommodate an additional 50-100 seats. In addition, the Waterfront Pavilion has an intimate outdoor amphitheater (310 linear feet) that can further extend the space of the pavilion or also be used as a separate venue for outdoor events.
