EOQ and EOY    

Nomination forms must be submitted to the TSC Chair directly. These nominations can be submitted at any time. The TSC Chair will process and submit the nominations to the committee for review. The TSC Chair will be responsible for sending the form to the department head for signature and to Human Resources at the end of each quarter for verification of eligibility. Once this has been completed, the nominee and nomination will be included in the pool for the next quarter vote. During the TSC Chair’s term, they will be ineligible for nomination for EOQ. All other officer positions as well as members will be eligible for nomination as long as requirements (below) are met.

• Must be a full-time, budgeted, benefits eligible, staff (non-faculty) employee. 
• Must have a minimum of twelve months continuous TAMUS employment on the Galveston Campus in a full-time, budgeted, benefits eligible, staff (non-faculty) position. 
• Must exhibit exemplary performance (above and beyond the scope of their regular job duties). 
• There must be no recorded disciplinary action against the employee within the last calendar year (determined by HR). 
• All Staff below the title designation of Director are eligible. 
• Nomination forms are required to be signed off by the Department Head and Human Resources and will be the responsibility of the TSC Chair to complete. For confidentiality purposes, the reason for disqualification will not be provided to TSC Officers.
• Employees who have received the EOQ are not eligible to receive it for the two years following their quarter of honor.

• Employees eligible for this award will be the four (4) “Employee of the Quarter” recipients during the Fiscal year.  If any of these individuals are no longer employed, on an extended leave, or no longer meet the established criteria for EOQ, they will not be considered for the EOY award.  The list of nominees will be sent to Human Resources to ensure their eligibility.  If it is determined that a nominee is not eligible, that individual will be removed from consideration.  For confidentiality purposes, the reason for disqualification will not be provided to TSC Officers.
