  • Dining Services Advisory Committee

    • Committee Charge:  The purpose of this committee is to advise the Associate Vice President of Administration and Auxiliary Services and Chartwells leadership regarding the services and quality provided by the campus dining provider, Chartwells.

  • Facility Services Advisory Committee

    • Committee Charge: The purpose of this committee is to advise the Associate Vice President of Administration and Auxiliary Services and SSC Leadership regarding the services and quality provided by the campus facility services provider.

  • Council for Built Environment 
    • Responsible VP/Department Head: Grant Shallenberger/Dr. Debbie Thomas
    • Committee Charge: Will use a transparent process of evaluation for any request of new space; construction, demolition, remodeling and renovation of existing space; request for art or campus features; and reallocation of space within units.

  • New Staff Welcome 
    • Responsible VP/Department Head: Ron Sorensen/Sammy Shamar/TSC Chair
    • Committee Charge: The New Staff Welcome Coordinator (NSWC) is dedicated to ensuring a warm and informative welcome for all new staff members. As part of our efforts, new staff have the opportunity to enjoy a complimentary lunch at Captain’s Landing once during the quarter of their start date. The specific date for this lunch is selected in advance each calendar year. A NSWC, or an Officer in their place, will accompany the new staff members for this quarterly lunch. Following the meal, the NSWC will provide a brief tour of the campus, weather permitting. Chartwells has generously agreed to donate a free lunch to all new staff members for the quarterly New Staff Welcome Lunch. Additionally, the Human Resources (HR) Department will cover the cost of the NSWC hosting the lunch. Prior to each quarterly lunch, the NSWC will coordinate with Chartwells and HR to confirm payment arrangements, which are subject to change.

    • Committee Charge: An essential element of Texas A&M University at Galveston's Environmental Management System, the Environmental Management Council is committed to promoting environmental stewardship. We are committed to sustainable practices that respect the health, safety and well-being of our campus and community, protect our assets, maintain accountability for the natural resources entrusted to your institution and the promotion of educational activities that promote environmental awareness.
